WARRIOR FOOD COURT OPENING

Installation commanding officer Capt. Scott Switzer joined Warrior Food Court manager Chanese Hoy and staff at a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday, March 27, 2023 for the Warrior Food Court at Naval Support Activity Bethesda in Maryland. Warrior Food Court is the first MWR Food and Beverage facility to feature five different CNIC food brands in one location. Each brand features a unique menu to include fresh takes on previous food options.

With these brands comes an integrated system with state-of-the-art technologies to upgrade the facility and the patrons dining experience. Multiple digital monitors at each brand location display menus making it easy for patrons to view options and prices. A label system was incorporated into the POS system to streamline the checkout process at the cashiers. After ordering, a label is adhered to the menu item with a scan code for the price. A simple scan for each item at the cashier speeds up the checkout process.

A special thanks to the continued support of the patrons through this transition. Thanks to leadership for providing new and innovative food options for the command. Thanks to CNIC and OLM Foods who provided expertise for training for each brand and worked diligently with each NSA Bethesda staff member in all areas of the new Warrior Food Court. Warrior Food Court looks forward to serving the staff, their families, and our nation’s leaders of NSA Bethesda and more than 40 tenant commands, including Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
